Partners in Education Application
Overview
Partners in Education is a joint venture of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and the
Cherokee County School District.
Mission Statement:
By bringing together business and education, Partners in Education strives to enhance the learning experience for Cherokee County students, while contributing directly to the quality of life for coming generations. A business is matched with a school to provide volunteer support or unique services matched to the school's needs.
Emphasis:
Emphasis in a partnership will be placed on manpower, not money.
Goals of the Program:
To provide recognition programs for teachers and students; To share expertise and knowledge as a means of increasing the real world skills of and to enhance the skills of teachers; To provide volunteer assitance for school programs, competitions and special projects; To provide exposure for the partners through community service and to facilitate the education of students as potential future employees for Cherokee County businesses.
New Partners:
During a school PTA meeting, partners will be recognized and awarded certificates to acknowledge their commitment. Please use the list of schools (following) to make your Partner selection.
