Receive professional help with: Creating your ResumeNeed to create a resume yet you don't know where to start? People will be on-site to assist you in developing a resume template. Once the template is complete, computers will be available so you can type your finished product.
Critiquing your ResumeA resume is YOU on paper! A good resume describes…who you are, what you have done, where you have done it, and how you learned it. It gives a potential employer your history and skills, and is often your only chance to make your case for why an employer should interview you. Employer expectations for a “good” resume change over time, so having your resume reviewed is like a applying a fresh coat of paint each spring. More important than the content, is HOW your resume is written. Does this person “stand out” in a crowd, and will this person add value to my team? Questions like these are important to answer early in the process, especially for employers faced with a mountain of applications to review. To make the job of selecting a good applicant for an interview, many employers look for “key words” that demonstrate the qualities they are searching for. Come by to see our trained resume reviewers on May 10th, and let’s do a little spring cleaning with your resume.
Polishing your Interview SkillsDuring ResuMay Day you will be provided with an opportunity to actually role-play the interview process to improve your interviewing skills and better prepare you for the interview questions that you could face. You will sit across from an interviewer who will ask you some sample questions, evaluate your responses, and offer advice on how you can make the best impressions in your next job interview. This one-on-one exercise will allow you to interview in the future with more confidence and better results.
