ACWORTH, GA— People needing assistance is an ageless need, but using technology assistance is sometimes looked upon as a younger person’s tool. iLoveKare CEO, Kimberly Haase won the Innovator award for All-In Cobb County in 2023.
An assistance that American seniors have been late to adopt is AI technology. In iLoveKare’s 10 years of service we have found a gradual universal need for senior citizens to adopt AI technology service into their lifestyle. iLoveKare is a concierge-based service servicing active adults who may need assistance in living an active life.
In April of 2014, Pew Research Center released data between Americans age 65 or older and the rest of the population, a unique exploration on how the different age groups are connected to digital tools and services. There are two different groups of seniors that were highlighted in Pew’s report.
The first group of seniors that uses technology lean toward being younger and have substantial technology assets, and have positive views toward the benefits of online platforms. The second group are older seniors usually aged 75-79 and less affluent.
Get your phone’s AI assistant to actually assist you and how to apply technology to your daily regimen. We have seen our clients have the latest smartphones, tablets, smart watches, and conversational AI without using artificially intelligent assistants to its benefits. Here are a few tips on how to open your AI assistant for actual assistance.
AI assistants are:
Siri (ios) – iPhones
Google Assistant – Android
Bixby- Samsung
This guide will focus on how to use these features with Siri, Google, and Bixby. For Siri, press and hold the home button, or on the iPhone X, press and hold the side button (the one on the right). For Google, bring up the Google assistant on your Android by pressing and holding the home button. You are ready to use your phone’s AI. For a Samsung phone you use the same application to open your AI on an Android. If you had a real-life person it would help with social isolation but for now, your phone’s AI will help you stay on task and keep you organized.
