CHAMBER NAMES VOLUNTEER OF THE QUARTER

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Ronald Sweatland, Founder and CEO of Orcannus Technologies, Inc. has been named the Chairman’s Council Volunteer of the Quarter for third quarter 2023.  He was honored during the Chamber’s August Good Morning Cherokee networking event.

The Chairman’s Council is a group of key community volunteers who offer their time to help cultivate successful relationships with business owners across Cherokee County. Members are accepted by invitation only from the Chamber’s Board Chair. The Chairman’s Council members are invited to attend Ribbon Cuttings & Ground Breakings, Coffee & Connections…For New Members, and special invitation Chamber meetings that aren’t open to the general membership.

Ron says of his time as a member of the Chairman’s Council, “Having the honor to serve on the Chairman’s Council has given me the opportunity to meet new business owners and established ones as well. I have gained knowledge as a business owner that has helped the success of my company. I have formed relationships with other Chamber companies as well where we share customers. It’s always great to see the positive business growth of the best county in Georgia.”

In determining the Volunteer of the Quarter, attendance at Chamber events is evaluated for all members of the Chairman’s Council.  “Ron is a committed Chamber volunteer, who is always willing to jump in and help. We appreciate the countless hours of his time that he has dedicated this year,” said Trey Ragsdale, External Affairs, Kaiser Permanente, and 2023 Chamber Board Chair.
