The Cherokee County Senior Services Adopt A Senior event is opening soon! Donations will be accepted at the Cherokee County Senior Center (1001 Univeter Road, Canton) Monday-Friday, Oct. 13 – Dec. 5 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday Dec. 6 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
*The Senior Center will be closed Nov. 11 and Nov. 27-28.
Requested items include:
- Christmas themed reusable bags (20in x 18in: like the ones from TJ Maxx)
- Grocery store gift card in the amount of $30
- 1 book of stamps
- Full sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, deodorant, etc.)
- Dish soap
- Hand sanitizer
- Blankets
- Jar opener
- Batteries
- Calendars
- Word searches or puzzle books
- Tissues
- Magnifying glass
- Deck of cards
- Eyeglasses chain
- Pills organizer or pill bottle time caps
- Microwave splatter shield
- Non-perishable ready-to-eat foods (crackers, snacks, granola bars, peanut butter, canned fruit and vegetables, cups of grits or oatmeal)
- Christmas themed candy/treats
*Please no paper gift bags, wrapping paper or tissue paper.
