WOODSTOCK, GA (October 17, 2025) – The City of Woodstock today announced it has signed a letter of intent with developer Southern Ventures, the master developer of Woodstock City Center, to construct a new upscale hotel in the heart of its award-winning downtown.
The landmark project will be a six-story, 130-room hotel situated directly across from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, a prime location that will anchor the continued growth of Woodstock City Center. The development is set to feature multiple food and beverage venues, a spa, ground-floor retail outlets, and 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
“Time and again, we’ve proven that when we invest in our downtown, we strengthen the economic engine of Cherokee County,” said Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell. “This new hotel is another bold step forward. It brings critical amenities like high-quality lodging and conference space that will support our local businesses and attract new visitors, all while being thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique history and character that makes Woodstock a place people are proud to call home.”
The developer, Southern Ventures, has completed early design development and is now in discussions with a major hotel company to select a brand for the property, with a formal announcement expected as soon as plans are finalized.
The hotel will be managed by Valor Hospitality Partners, a globally recognized operator with extensive experience in the lifestyle and boutique hotel sector.
