WOODSTOCK, GA (July 9, 2025) – The City of Woodstock’s 2025 July 4th Spectacular Parade took place on Friday, July 4th in downtown Woodstock. This year, the popular holiday event had ninety-nine floats and entries. A panel of judges scored each entry as they passed by Woodstock’s historic train depot on characteristics like originality, spirit, and holiday theme.
The City of Woodstock announced the winners at the gazebo in the Park at City Center during the July 4th Spectacular Festival. Winners will also be recognized before Woodstock’s Mayor and City Council at their Regular Meeting on Monday, July 14th, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center (8534 Main Street).
Erin de Lira State Farm won the award for “Most Original Float”. “Best Holiday Float” was awarded to The Home Depot – Woodstock. The “History & Heritage Award” went to Never Alone Food Pantry. Reformation Brewery won “Most Spirited Golf Cart” and Junior and Heather Garrett won “Most Spirited Jeep.” The “People’s Choice Award” went to Mystical Parties Entertainment.
Woodstock’s July 4th Spectacular Parade was attended by over sixty-eight hundred visitors this year up nearly 4% from 2024 and over 12% from 2023. The crowds stretched from Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road down Main Street to Sam’s Club.
Before the parade, runners and walkers took to downtown Woodstock’s streets for the annual road race. The Freedom Run added a 10K in addition to the 5K, 1K and Tot Trot in 2025.
The day concluded with a fantastic fireworks display in the area around I-575 and GA-92 at dusk. “Over 100 city employees worked on the 4th,” according to City Manager Jeff Moon. “Many started their day before sunrise and worked until nearly midnight to make Woodstock’s Independence Day celebration a success.”
