Milton Beck named Sr. Security Director for MUST Ministries
MUST Ministries has hired Milton Beck as the Sr. Security Director, after Beck served as a safety and security consultant for MUST for more than a year.
Beck retired from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office in 2019 after 30 years of service. During his tenure, he worked in Detention Facilities, Uniform Field Operations, Marietta/Cobb/Smyrna Narcotics Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, Court Security, Internal Affairs and in his last six years, served as Chief Deputy.
“We are blessed to have someone with this level of security and safety experience join our team,” said MUST President and CEO Ike Reighard. “Milton has committed most of his life to serving our community in a Law Enforcement capacity. As MUST continues to serve more people and we prepare to open our new shelter in 2022, Milton will help us create the safest environment possible on our new 8-acre campus.”
Reighard said Beck has already been invaluable in coordinating current and future security measures such as lighting, pedestrian access, fencing and other keys to a safe environment for clients, employees and community members.
“Being a part of the MUST family is truly a blessing,” said Beck. “I am so thankful for the opportunity afforded to me and I look forward to continuing to serve my community alongside other MUST employees and volunteers.”
MUST Ministries has been serving Cobb, Cherokee and surrounding counties for 50 years. MUST has grown from a one-room food pantry and clothing closet to a multi-million-dollar non-profit that distributed 2.58 million pounds of food during the pandemic year and served more than 180,000 people (some repeat clients).
Recently, MUST was voted Best of Cobb in the nonprofit arena, a category established three years ago with MUST taking top honors each year as selected by the community.
