Northside Hospital offering smoking cessation classes and prostate screening in January

Northside Hospital is hosting two events to help you kick off the New Year healthy.

Beginning Jan. 7, Northside Hospital Cancer Institute will host a six-week Built to Quit course, offering the American Lung Association Freedom From Smoking® program to help participants learn the hazards of smoking and using tobacco products, the benefits of quitting, and strategies and skills to cope with urges.

Classes are conducted primarily in a group setting, with face-to-face interaction that allows participants to learn from each other’s experiences.

Afternoon classes are available at Northside Hospital campuses in Atlanta, Canton and Cumming, with evening classes also available in Atlanta and Cumming. Lunch or dinner is provided. Online classes also are available upon request.
