Woodstock, GA – Residents of Benton House Senior Living recently celebrated the end of their annual walking club charity drive with a donation to (Hope for Domestic Violence). The Walking Club is a group of dedicated seniors who walk both for fitness and for a cause. Beginning in January of each year, walkers log miles all year long, hitting milestones and collecting awards. Staff and families often join in. At the end of the year a donation is made based on the number of miles logged.

Collectively Benton House residents log thousands of miles, generating thousands of dollars to over a dozen local and national charities.

Sandy Cooper, Chief Operating Officer for the Benton House family communities shares “Movement is so important at every age, but it is especially important for seniors. And our residents have a strong desire to continue to have purpose and serve the community. The walking clubs are a fun and social way to meet both those needs.”

For 2024 Benton House chose Hope for Domestic Violence. For more information on Benton House or Hope For Domestic Violence call 678-294-1587.
