The Black Market Trust Brings Creative Jazz Sound to Falany Nov. 13
The Black Market Trust, an American pop/vocal jazz group, will perform at the Falany Performing Arts Center on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m.
The Los Angeles-based group of five combines the sounds of the legendary American crooners and vocal groups with the fire and energy of gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.
“Be transported back in time as The Black Market Trust creatively combines distinctly different vibes,” said Jessica Akers, director of the Falany Performing Arts Center. “Think gypsy campfire and slick metropolitan nightclub, all in one delightful afternoon at Falany.”
The Black Market Trust features material from The Great American Songbook infused with Django romantic and virtuosic flavor. The high-energy group adds intricate vocal harmonies and a dash of Rat Pack-style comedy for a crowd-pleasing performance.
Tickets are $40 to $45 for adults, $35 to $40 for seniors and $10 to $15 for children (12 and younger). Tickets can be purchased at Reinhardt.edu/fpac or by calling the box office at 770-720-9167.
