WOODSTOCK, GA (April 14, 2026) — The City of Woodstock announces Georgia Cities Week 2026 activities to highlight our thriving community while honoring the statewide Georgia US250 commemoration. This year’s lineup invites residents of all ages to learn about city services and participate in events that make Woodstock feel like home.
The City invites residents to “pass the story on” by donating gently used books to support the city’s Little Free Libraries. Donations may be dropped off at the Woodstock Visitors Center throughout the week. Books will be collected Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 12 PM to 5 PM. On Monday, April 20th, the Georgia Cities Week Touch‑A‑Truck will take place from 4 to 5 PM on East Main Street. Families can explore the vehicles and equipment used daily by Woodstock’s first responders, public works, and parks and trails maintenance team. On Tuesday, April 21st, the Lions Club will host the Annual City of Woodstock Employee Appreciation Breakfast honoring the dedication of Woodstock’s city employees.
On April 25th and 26th, households across Woodstock will participate in the Citywide Yard Sale that promotes sustainability and neighbor‑to‑neighbor connection. A full list of participating sales and an interactive map will be available on woodstockparksandrec.com. Saturday, April 25th from 8:30 AM to noon on Market Street, the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market returns with locally grown produce, handmade goods, and artisan items. The market is a nod to the agricultural heritage that has shaped Georgia for centuries. Also Saturday, April 25th, the Greenstock Day Recycling & Paper Shredding Event offers free recycling services and on‑site paper shredding at Woodstock City Church from 9 AM to 1 PM.
“The Great American Experiment has always been a local story, born in the hearts and minds of patriots in taverns and storefronts, reflected in the breweries and trailways of Woodstock today,” said Mayor Michael Caldwell. “Woodstock’s Georgia Cities Week events are a great opportunity to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding and how fortunate we are to call ourselves Americans.”
