WOODSTOCK, GA (April 1, 2025) – The City of Woodstock will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” April 21st – 27th with a bonus event on April 28th. The city will hold a variety of events including a family-friendly Touch-A-Truck event and a Towne Hall Open House. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Imagine the Possible.”
“The services we provide help make our area very attractive to residents and visitors alike,” said City Manager Jeff Moon. “We are proud to highlight the work city employees do like building and maintaining infrastructure that helps businesses grow and setting the stage for residents to build community at best-in-class events.”
Events planned for the week are:
- On Monday, April 21st from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, the City of Woodstock will host a Georgia Cities Week Touch-A-Truck event to introduce our youngest residents to the value of local government. See vehicles used by Woodstock Fire Department, Woodstock Police Department, Woodstock Public Works, and Woodstock Parks and Recreation on East Main Street in downtown Woodstock.
- A breakfast honoring all city employees sponsored by the Woodstock Lions Club will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd from 8 am to 10 am in the Courtroom at the City Annex. Thank you, Woodstock Lions!
- The City-Wide Yard Sale takes place the weekend of April 26th. Greenstock Day Recycling Event will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 9 am to 1 pm at Woodstock City Church (150 Ridgewalk Pkwy).
- The 2025 season of the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market will kick off on April 26th on Market Street and Reformation Brewery’s Backyard in Downtown Woodstock and runs every Saturday 8:30 am to noon.
- Because April’s City Council Work Session has been cancelled as staff prepares the annual budget for review, the City of Woodstock will host its Georgia Cities Week Towne Hall Open House on Monday, April 28th from 6 to 6:45 pm at the Chambers at City Center. Engage with elected officials and representatives from the city’s departments at this bonus Georgia Cities Week event and then join us for the Regular Meeting of Mayor and Council at 7 pm.
- Woodstock Municipal Court is offering an Amnesty Program through April 30, 2025. Eligible individuals can address their outstanding fines or violations with waived late fees and dismissal of Failure to Appear charges. The Court’s goal is to support community members in regaining compliance without the risk of additional penalties or enforcement actions.
Cities across Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many services they provide. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and consulting services to its 537 member cities.
